ASIAN FUSION GALORE
Looking for an upscale evening that will make your taste buds work overtime, head over to Tao Asian Bistro inside The Venetian. At this elegant Asian fusion eatery you’ll feast on Hong Kong Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine specialties.
Dim with a sophisticated ambiance, Tao is quite the scene. One of the city’s hottest restaurants and nightclubs, it manages to blend great food, music and fun people-watching all at once; creating the hippest “vibe dining” in town – all under the watchful eye of the its signature 20-foot tall Buddha overlooking the festivities.
We opted to start our evening with a Sake Flight consisting of 3 tasty sakes before settling on a large bottle of Demon Slayer sake which paired perfectly with our assortment order of sushi; Unagi (Fresh Water Eel), Uni (Sea Urchin) and Maguro (Tuna). The Satay of Chicken with Peanut Sauce was a pleasant surprise while we waited for our main course.

Our entrees consisted of a Soy Ginger Glazed Salmon with Udon Noodles and Spinach that was delightful, and a magnificent Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass with Wok Vegetables. Every bite of the Chilean Sea Bass was culinary nirvana, and every time I tasted the miso glaze it only got better. This plate proved to be a true feast for the senses. This one is a definite must have.
Our waiter noted that dessert was a must and that his favorite dish was the Giant Fortune Cookie filled with White and Dark Chocolate Mousse. It was definitely over the top but what a way to round out a fantastic dinner.
Make a note that reservations are highly encouraged and by eating at the restaurant you will bypass the enormous line waiting to get into the nightclub, and unless your party is loaded with women, it’ll save you the cost and trouble of having to do bottle service in the club just to get you in the door. Either way you’re in for a pricey night but at least by eating at Tao you will dine in style and start your evening right.
