LONDON’S CONNAUGHT BAR
NAMED THE WORLD’S BEST BAR
London’s lofty Connaught Bar has been named 2020’s World’s Best Bar, according to the prestigious The World’s 50 Best Bars list.
In 2019, it was named the best bar in Europe as it ranked No. 2 worldwide but now it has jumped to the top spot.
Under the masterful leadership of Agostino Perrone, the venue’s Director of Mixology, Connaught Bar stays true to its principles of presenting artful drinks with graceful service in an elegant setting. Designed by the late David Collins, the Cubist-inspired bar celebrated its 10th year in 2018 and is known for its unique Martini trolley, where bartenders offer a personalized experience to guests.

New York City’s dynamic Dante bar was named No. 2 (falling from the top spot it held in 2019). Holding the mantle of The Best Bar in North America still makes Dante a must visit drinking destination.

I still fondly remember my Perfect Drinking Day in London last year when I started at Connaught Bar, then went to American Bar (No. 20 this year) and nightcapped at Lyaness (N0. 29 in 2020). Life was never better.
The World’s 50 Best Bars, owned and organized by William Reed Business Media, provides a definitive list of the world’s best drinking venues, voted for by an Academy of over 540 experts worldwide. The World’s 50 Best Bars list has been published annually since 2009 and has become the most anticipated ranking for drinks professionals and cocktail aficionados across the world, with the awards the highlight of the bar industry calendar. The list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars has been published since 2016. The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, also organized by William Reed Business Media, has been published since 2002.
