WAR AT THE CANYON IS ALL-DAY MUSIC!
What started out as a peppering of in-person events this year is now a landscape of full concert calendars at most venues Hallelujah! The Canyon in Montclair, Ca has wasted no time in building back its audience. Of the many genres that are showcased in this classic supper club, I am especially excited for the upcoming show on January 21st. War with the opening set by Voodoo Sindicate. Kicking off the show is the multi-talented Rudy Moreno’s Voodoo Sindicate. Rudy is an actor, comedian, and musician. This group’s set list has delighted at this venue in the past. They have opened for Naked Eyes, Oingo Boingo, and others. Talented Joel Soto a 13 yr old guitar player is slated for a walk-on performance and is someone to watch for.

WAR performing at this venue will be reminiscent of shows at the once-upon-a-time BB Kings in Universal city walk and other intimate venues! The tease is which of their many songs am I going to hear? It would take several nights to hear them all, that’s a good thing. Over time there have been personal changes in the Band but a mainstay is Sal Rodriguez. Sal has been providing the beat for over 20 yrs. The music this band puts out is as relevant as it ever was. Having their tune Low Rider as the theme song of the George Lopez show did expose them to younger generations and gave new life to their body of work which has been slammin for over 40 yrs. Move over Beethoven.
