GLOBAL EATERY & MARKET COMES TO SANTA MONICA
A neighborhood gem of a market and eatery has set up shop in Santa Monica along residential Ocean Park Boulevard where locals can now get necessary daily items or delicious eats made fresh. Part market and part restaurant with ample outdoor seating or perfect for great grub to-go, Global Kitchens & Lounge offers wonderful sandwiches and smoothies, as well as stellar Indian, Mediterranean, Mexican and vegan/organic cuisine.
There’s something for everybody here—from groceries to fine fare. Guests can shop for spices as well as the necessities such as milk, soft drinks and water, beer, ice cream and candy, as well as important daily household items. Breakfast choices include an Egg Breakfast Sandwich, as well as Burrito Breakfast, Lox Sandwich, Organic Avocado Toast as well as Waffle Breakfast. There’s also Acai Bowls and smoothies to choose from.
It’s also sandwich galore here, including the mighty Meatball Sandwich and the Rachel Sandwich with pastrami turkey, swiss cheese, pickles, and Thousand Islands. Other options include the Meat Lover with roast beef, ham, turkey, pepper jack, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, as well as mild or hot peppers. And don’t sleep on the Italian Combo, California Turkey or Tuna Sandwich.
The Mexican menu includes foodie favorites such as tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. Choose form carne asada, steak, chicken or shrimp as topping options. All dishes can also be served as a Bowl for the health conscious.

The Indian dishes are really a specialty here. Chicken dishes include Chicken Tikka Masala as well as Chicken Coconut Curry, and Chicken Mango Curry. There are also a bevy of lamb, shrimp, and vegetable options, including Sag Paneer, Aloo Gobi, and Vegetable Masala.
You will be very hard pressed not to find something you want to eat here. While locals have it made with great global cuisine within walking distance, this is also a great option for delivery or to-go. The market meets restaurant option gives way to build a community café where locals can get together and feel a comfortable sense of bonding and neighborhood.
