TREJO’S COFFEE & DONUTS
NOW SERVING BREAKFAST

What started off as an immediate booming taco empire quickly morphed as actor and now restaurateur Danny Trejo launched a coffee and donuts outpost, and then founded his own cerveza (beer) to sell to the masses.

Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts became a Mr. Machete fan favorite as folks lined up to buy donuts from the tiny donut shop on the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

First it was donuts, vegan and regular, and then it was the launching of low gluten donuts made with a mix of brown and white rice flours, buckwheat flour and tapioca starch that had donut lovers salivating, and now it’s breakfast too.

Breakfast items include the hearty Breakfast Burrito made with scrambled eggs, cheese, bean dip, tortilla strips, salsa, and tater tots—yes tater tots, as well as the Breakfast Sandwich made with nacho donut, scrambled egg, and avocado.

The Breakfast Burrito is bomb! It’s hearty and filling (you just have to love those tots) and is a great way to start your day. Think of it as breakfast and lunch. It’s a $6.95 burrito and if you add avocado it is $2 extra; bacon is $3 extra. Go for the big bad boy burrito for $12 and you will be one happy camper.

The Breakfast Sandwich with a nacho donut for bread is tasty but you immediately know that it’s a diet buster. It is not a guilt-free meal. So think of it as a treat to yourself or make sure to workout. The sandwich is sweet to the taste so I personally recommend the burrito as it does not disappoint.

And if you really want to add bang to your breakfast, there are ice blended drinks to choose from in Mocha, Caramel, Chai, and Matcha for $4.95 each served all day long.

Indeed Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts isn’t just a donut shop as its breakfast is legit. If you are looking for breakfast on the go in Hollywood, well, look no further.
