On the other side of the dining spectrum, there’s Luau Larry’s—a fun, divey Tiki experience. It’s billed as the place where the bar meets the bay!

With Tiki drinks galore on the Libations menu, finish the Wiki Wacker, a refreshing mix of light rum, brandy, pineapple/orange juice and grenadine—and you get a souvenir hat or sticker for your efforts.

This is also another opportunity to enjoy the delicious Buffalo Milk (vodka, dark cocoa, crème de banana, milk and fresh bananas), as well as classics like the Blue Hawaiian, Mai Tai, and Luau Iced Tea (rum, vodka, gin, melon liqueur, and sweet and sour). If you’re not careful this is the rousing kind of bar that you can stumble out of, which is fine is you’re staying on the island and walking back to your room.

The food is also hearty and filling and just what you need when you’re drinking like you’re on vacation, well, at least drinking like I do when I’m on vacation. The burgers are really oversized and tasty. This is a great place when you want to keep things nice and simple and on the affordable side.
