TRAVEL THE WORLD
IN A COCKTAIL GLASS

With COVID-19 related restrictions increasing daily and with holidays plans having to be cancelled in order to prevent further spread of the virus, you’re still free to travel the world—in a glass that is. This holiday season, opt for a liquid vacation.

Think of these festive libations as Getaways in a Glass. Below are several cocktail recipes to serve as an at-home opportunity to taste top vacation destinations from hospitality brands such as Loews Hotels and Marriott International. These spirited libations are inspired by the desert, cities like NYC and LA, as well as the tropics.

The Original Mai Tai
The Royal Hawaiian’s Mai Tai Bar | Honolulu, HI

Ingredients:
Build in shaker with ice:
1 oz. Bacardi Rum
1 tsp. Cherry Vanilla Puree
½ oz. Amaretto di Saronno
½ oz. Cointreau
1 oz. Fresh Govinda Orange Juice
2 oz. Fresh Govinda Pineapple Juice
½ oz. Whaler’s Dark Rum Float

Directions: Roll the shaker, pour in a large “bucket” glass. Float with Whaler’s Dark Rum, garnish with a parasol with cherry, pineapple and lime wedge.

Hollywood Hills

Ingredients:
2oz. Pisco
¾ oz. Lime juice
¾ oz. Matcha tea
1 egg white
Splashes of bitters

Pour all ingredients into a shaker and shake to mix. Pour mixture over ice into a high ball glass. Garnish with a mint sprig.

The Red Snapper
The St. Regis New York

Ingredients:
1 oz / 30 ml premium vodka
11 oz / 325 ml Bloody Mary mix

Ingredients for Bloody Mary Mix:
Juice of 3 lemons
2 ½ #10 cans / 2 ½ large tomato juice
5oz / 150ml Worcestershire sauce
10 dashes / 3ml Tabasco sauce
2tbsp / 30g freshly ground black pepper
2tbsp / 30g ground cayenne pepper
1tbsp / 15g ground celery salt
2tbsp / 30g whole black peppercorns
1 lemon wedge, for garnish

Directions: Fill 12oz / ½ L Blood Mary glass with ice. Add vodka. Fill glass with Blood Mary mix and garnish with lemon. Pour ingredients into a container and shake well. Use immediately or seal and refrigerate. Strain peppercorns from mix before adding alcohol. Makes 3 gallons / 11 L.

#NOLA Hurricane

Ingredients:
1 oz light rum
1 oz dark rum
1.5 oz pineapple juice
1.5 oz fresh orange juice
1.5 oz passion fruit juice
1 tsp grenadine
1 tsp simple syrup
Garnish: orange slice and a maraschino cherry

Fill a shaker with ice. Add all measured liquids. Shake it up vigorously. Pour the cocktail into a hurricane glass. Use a toothpick to skewer the orange slice and cherry. Place garnish on top of the cocktail. Enjoy!

Aviation Mister C
Bisha Hotel Toronto

Ingredients:
1.5 Tanqueray Gin
0.5 oz Maraschino liqueur
20 ml creme de violette
1oz lemon juice
0.75 Oz simple syrup

Add all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with a cherry. Serve straight up; without ice.

Aperol Fresca
Loews Miami Beach Hotel

Ingredients:
1 ½ oz Aperol
1oz fresh local guava puree
1oz fresh squeezed local grapefruit juice
¼ fresh lemon juice
Prosecco splash
Edible orchid and orange peel (for garnish)

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, except for the Prosecco. Shake vigorously for five seconds. Fill a Dante glass with crushed ice and strain the cocktail into the glass. Add a splash of Prosecco for a floater. Garnish with an edible orchid and Florida orange peel.
