TOTOYAMA SUSHI & RAMEN
SERVING THE BEST RAMEN IN HOLLYWOOD

Hollywood Boulevard is aligned with stars and celebrities where talent shines bright. And a new star on the block of fame is Chef Yukinari Yamamoto whose Totoyama Sushi & Ramen is delighting lovers of fine Japanese cuisine.

Chef’s specialty is aburi sushi, which means “flame seared.” When flame is applied to sushi, the heat alters the sushi’s flavor and enhances the fish texture to create an escalated sushi experience. Not to mention it’s pretty cool to watch as your sushi is flame cooked.

And while the sushi is delectable, especially the Fresh Tuna with Garlic Chili Oil (the chili oil is absolutely amazing and consists of twelve ingredients, including garlic, chili oil, sesame oil and soy sauce, it should really be put on everything), the real star here is the ramen. I really like ramen but I don’t love it, but at Totoyama Sushi & Ramen, I love the ramen!

The ramen noodles come with your choice of Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu, Spicy Tonkotsu, Spicy Tokyo Shoyu, or Spicy Sapporo Miso. Some of the broth is made with boiled pork bones. And let me tell you, the ramen is just so flavorful. It’s the ultimate in comfort food. There is also udon to choose from, including chicken, tempura, spicy vegetable, and seafood udon.

Sushi combo optioins include Aburi Sushi—seared sushi with five pieces of yellowtail, albacore, salmon, tuna and scallop; Aburi Sushi with Blue Fin Tuna; Nigiri Trust Me Special with Clu-toro, yellowtail, whitefish, salmon toro, egg, scallop, eel, red shrimp and blue crab HR; and Chirashi Special with Chu-toro, yellowtail, whitefish, salmon toro, shrimp, housemade egg, sea urchin, eel and red shrimp.

Located in the heart of Hollywood—across the street from the W Hotel and the metro redline—Totoyama is the perfect spot before a show at the Pantages Theater. Housed in the same complex as Shake Shack, Greenleaf Gourmet Shop, Pressed Juicery, Dunkin Donuts, and Soul Cycle, don’t be fooled by the simple and casual setting as the fare is first rate.

Other menu options include sashimi, tempura, pork cutlets, bowls, and salads. Here, authentic Japanese cuisine is fresh and clean and served at a reasonable price. Happy Hour is offered daily from 4 pm to 7 pm, as well as from 10 pm to closing.

Totoyama Sushi & Ramen is located at 6201 Hollywood Blvd, Suite #118. Open daily from 11:30 am to close. Call 323-400-6300.
