THE 21ST ANNUAL iVIE AWARDS & STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL
CALL FOR ENTRIES IN NOW OPEN
Media Arts Center San Diego is excited to announce the 21st Innovative Video in Education (iVIE) Awards & Student Film Festival, presented by SDG&E.

The festival is scheduled for an in-person edition on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
There are many categories that you can submit your student work to (i.e. news stories, PSAs, etc.). We have a very special announcement: #LOVELECTRIC is back for a second year, with SDG&E as our presenting sponsor! SDG&E wants students from ALL age groups to submit a video exploring the world of Electric Vehicles and all the reasons to #LOVELECTRIC!

Additionally, we have several new submission categories: an animation section for short narratives, a music-centric category, and a call to action to use Tik Tok for good!
Since 2001, iVIE has grown into a major San Diego County-wide student video competition. On average, there are annually 500+ video submissions from 120 teachers, 73 Schools, 23 Districts and a handful of private schools, involving approximately 3,500 students. Submitted videos are judged by media professionals and educators curated by Media Arts Center San Diego (organizer of the 29th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival & more).
iVIE is a K-12 student video competition and festival conceived to encourage and reward teachers and students who recognize the power of video as a creative and educational tool.
