NO. 10 RESTAURANT
ITALIAN EATERY SCORES A GOAL!
The L.A. Italian restaurant game, especially around the Beverly Center area, just got better with opening of No. 10 Restaurant, impressive Italian eats from former professional soccer player Alessandro Del Piero.
The story goes that after years of living and traveling around Italy, discovering the distinctively different regional cooking styles and ingredients, Alessandro Del Piero opened No. 10 Restaurant (#10 was his soccer jersey number, of course), a contemporary Italian restaurant, to offer multi-regional seasonal flair. The result is a modern space that elegant and intimate, yet fun and energetic at the same time.
The menu features antipasti, charcuterie, pizza, pasta and risotto, seafood and steak. The Taglierie Vegetariano with marinated mushrooms, pickles, blood orange, and beets is a great starter for non-meat eaters. And you can’t go wrong with the Charcuterie with prosciutto, salami, speck, and chicken liver pate as an appetizer.
Another favorite among the starter items is the Tuna Tartare, and the spectacular Polipo alla Griglia—charred octopus with fava beans, celery leaf, blood orange and yogurt. Delicious!
Of course, the pizzas are a solid option. And the risotto with porcini, zucchini, and braised chicken oysters is a winner. Other great selections include the Galletto—organic brick chicken, served with herb salad, shaved mushrooms, pickled onion, and salsa verde—and the Artichoke Ravioli with shitake mushrooms, kale pesto and pumpkin seeds, as well as the Spigola al Cartoccio—Mediterranean Sea Bass.
And let me tell you that the desserts deliver mightily. The tiramisu, éclair, crepe cake, and gelato and sorbet are outstanding. I give them all a 10!
The restaurant also serves weekend brunch from 11am to 3pm as well as a daily Happy Hour from opening until 8pm offering selected items, including two arancini or crostini for only $5.
Located on the ground floor of an office/medical building, you might not expect to find such a great dining find that is No. 10 Restaurant but it’s a lovely oasis of plush, chic and refinement where you can escape, relax and indulge.
No. 10 Restaurant is located 8436 W. 3rd Street. Opening daily. Call 310-924-2011.
