POOCH HOTEL OPENS

Having redefined pet boarding options in Chicago by offering unparalleled amenities, environmentally friendly mindset and a level of quality never seen before, Pooch Hotel is now open in Hollywood.

The 5-star hotel and daycare exclusively for dogs, Pooch Hotel Hollywood will place a premium on convenience, extraordinary customer care, superior facilities and outstanding services. The new doggie digs will feature custom-made hotel suites with glass doors, a customized exercise pool and the SPAW™ - a just-for-dogs spa that features aromatherapy bathing and massage, paw-dicures and Poochberry facials and tooth brushing. The Club @ Pooch Hotel Club is a complete, daily lifestyle program for dogs that includes fitness and nutrition management.

Pooch Hotel specialists can construct a healthy and holistic diet plan that will improve the weight, stamina, and overall condition of your pet. Treadmills are available for guests who need that little extra exercise. Included in hotel rates is All Day Play, where guests can take part in a plentiful amount of indoor supervised playtime. Over 10,000 square feet is available for guests to play in groups based on size and temperament. Drinking water for guests will be available at all times. Playground equipment is available during playtime hours. All guests are also provided with scheduled feedings, around-the-clock monitoring, and attention to any special needs.

Pooch Hotel is the brain-child of Robin Tomb. After spending nearly a decade in Silicon Valley’s high tech industry, Tomb found herself lacking the passion to get up every day and head to work. Part of the problem was that she hated to leave her beloved Jack Russell Terrier, Daisy, when she traveled. The options for daycare and overnight boarding were lackluster to say the least, and she often thought of opening a place where people and their dogs would feel great about coming too. After a very successful year, Robin was able to leave the high tech world. Focusing entirely on her dream of opening a dog hotel, she purchased the building that would become home to the first Pooch Hotel.

“Pooch Hotel has gone to great lengths to deliver a higher level of quality, personalized services in a safe, eco-friendly environment,” says Tomb. “As a frequent traveler and someone who is very particular about the care of my dogs, I understand the importance of knowing your pet is safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m thrilled that dog owners in Hollywood will have a 5-star boarding option the next time they head to work or leave town”

Incorporating natural lighting, Energy Star-rated air purification systems and state-of-the-art wet/dry vacuum and disinfecting systems throughout the facility, Pooch Hotel Hollywood has taken steps towards a smaller carbon pawprint without sacrificing service, safety, and satisfaction. On-call veterinary care and easy drop-off and pick-up for clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week will be available at all locations.

Grand Opening celebrations for Pooch Hotel Hollywood will be held on Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will include tours of the 20,000-square-foot facility, a 20% discount on all daycare package purchases and advanced hotel reservations as well as the opportunity to win great prizes. A photographer will be on hand to take photos of you and your four-legged friends. All donations collected from opening weekend will benefit PAWS/LA.
Pooch Hotel Hollywood is located at 950 N. Highland Avenue.
