‘TARANTINO XX’ CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF STELLAR FILMMAKING

When filmmaker Quentin Tarantino broke onto the Hollywood scene with his groundbreaking 1992 debut film Reservoir Dogs, he immediately etched his name in the Hollywood lexicon as one of the brightest and most promising directors.

Now, 20 years later, he is known and heralded for stylistically influencing an entire genre of filmmaking, made up of nonlinear story lines, dark humor and ultra violence. While film geeks anxiously await the Christmas Day release of his latest effort, Django Unchained, a Spaghetti Western inspired tale of vengeance in the era of slavery, starring Oscar winner Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson, TARANTINO XX: ‘Reservoir Dogs’ and ‘Pulp Fiction’ celebrates all things Tarantino.

The impressive release acknowledges two decades of Quentin Tarantino’s award-winning film career with special anniversary editions of his groundbreaking works Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, which will hit theaters nationwide in December with TARANTINO XX: ‘Reservoir Dogs’ and ‘Pulp Fiction’.

In advance of these movie theater events and the release of the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection box set, fans can also now experience the recently launched micro-site, Tarantinoxx.com, which highlights the significant events that contributed to the development of Tarantino’s career. Supporting films that Tarantino himself feels were poignant in the development of his craft and career, the site also includes quotes, film stills, video clips and a few “easter eggs.”  There will be additional content added as the theatrical dates for Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction approach on December 4 and 6 respectively.

Tarantino XX: ‘Reservoir Dogs’ 20th Anniversary Event will play select movie theaters on Tuesday, December 4 at 7 pm local time; and Tarantino XX: ‘Pulp Fiction’ Event will follow two days later on Thursday, December 6 at 7 pm local time. The original films will be accompanied by never-before-seen features covering Tarantino’s 20-year career, and a selection of hand-picked movie trailers from films that inspired him. Both events will also have matinees in select markets.
