Here’s a fun tequila fact that you might not be aware of. Did you know that all tequila is mezcal yet not all mezcal is tequila? Yes, that’s right?

Tequila is an agave spirit that falls under the wide umbrella category of mezcal, however, tequila is also based on location as it can only come from five particular states of Mexico, which means that not all mezcal can be classified as tequila.

Here’s another agave spirit fun fact, Wednesday, July 25 is National Tequila Day. As I’m sure you’ll want to celebrate, expand the typical lets drink or shot or margarita and instead expand your cocktail repertoire and try these mezcal cocktail recipes taking into account that all tequila is mezcal. Go ahead, drink to impress.

Mezcal Margarita:

Ingredients:
2 oz. of Mezcal El Silencio Espadin
1 oz. of Agave Nectar
1 Lime

Method: Combine w/ Ice Shake and Strain

Smoky Paloma:

Ingredients:
2 oz. of Mezcal El Silencio Espadin
1 Lime Wedge
Fill w/ Grapefruit Soda

Method: Squeeze Lime Wedge and drop in
