MÍRAME BEVERLY HILLS
CONTEMPORARY MEXICAN CUISINE

This year has been a really tough one to be a restaurateur thanks to COVID-19.  We’ve seen so many beloved restaurants close and others struggle to sustain. And now, as in-room dining at restaurants has been banned for safety reason, Mírame, a Beverly Hills contemporary Mexican restaurant with a California sensibility, has just opened.

Founded by Michelin Star chef Joshua Gil and Matthew Egan, Mírame offers an ever-changing ingredient driven menu that embraces regional Mexican flavors using local and seasonal ingredients.

The ‘farm to bar’ cocktail program is supposed to offer a robust collection of spirits and truly artisanal products, most notably mezcal—a favorite cocktail ingredient of mine. Mírame is committed to providing an experience that reflects the layered culinary history of both California and Mexico.

The rustic, seasonal menu draws from regional Mexican flavors such as tostadas, tacos, and ceviches priced between $15 and $20 while grilled meats such as Colorado lamb belly barbacoa, for $33, and a 32-ounce Wagyu cote de boeuf for $125 are other menu highlights.

For now, the restaurant is offering menu items via takeout and delivery along with outdoor patio and sidewalk dining in accordance with the city’s al fresco dining option.

Mírame means “look” in Spanish. And it’s that sentiment that led the powers that be on a culinary journey through Mexican. The goal of partners Joshua Gil and Matthew Egan is to create a unique, curated experience inspired by their love for Mexico’s rich heritage, bold flavors, colorful culture, exceptional distillates and artisanal crafts.

“We have eaten our way through Mexico to bring you the best spirits and ingredients we have discovered,” the partners collectively said. “It is with great pleasure that we share the stories of the many talented makers we have met along the way and we are proud to bring their beautiful products to Beverly Hills.”
