WHERE ART COMES TO LIFE

While COVID-19 has still not gone away and the Delta variant seemingly running rampant, the question of gathering indoors is tricky and actually somewhat scary these days.

So, you have to ask yourself, to Gogh or not to Gogh?

Do you go to the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit currently on display in Hollywood and Anaheim?

Immersive Van Gogh is a 40-minute video installation that plays on a loop while bringing the vibrant art of Vincent Van Gogh to life. Created by Italian film producer and exhibition creator Massimiliano Siccardi, the video incorporates 400 animated Van Gogh images as well as mostly original music by Italian composer Luca Longobardi. Images appear on the walls and floors and are multiplied in mirrored sculptures through three galleries. Socially distant circles keep aaudience members at a safe distance from one another.

The Hollywood location is housed in the former Amoeba Music space on Sunset Boulevard. In OC, the exhibit takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center through September 12.

“We are so grateful and of course honored by the audience’s positive reaction and enthusiasm towards the experience,” commented Creative Director Mathieu St-Arnaud. “Since its early inception, we knew we wanted to create a very personal and awe-inspiring experience for the audience. When we feel the appreciation, it’s hard to put into words the wonderful feeling it gives you. It’s why we do what we do and it makes all the hard work worth it.”

The immersive exhibit has given art fans new and old a fresh look inside Van Gogh's life’s work through a modern lens. After diving deeper into learning about the man behind the famous ear-cutting folklore, guests continue their experience in the Immersion Room, which completely encapsulates guests into a three-dimensional world that exhilarates the senses. The show infuses creativity and passion in visuals that leave the spectator in a state of wonder. The company’s original and unique take on the works of the post-impressionist painter allows visitors to step beyond the frame and into the paintings to truly meet Vincent.
