‘LATIN AMERICAN MUSIC FIESTA 2019’ AUGUST 2-4

Long Beach’s Hotel Maya is a local favorite for its live entertainment. Its brunches are always a good time combining excellent fare, drink and music, and now its upcoming ‘Latin American Music Fiesta’ taking place August 2, 3 and 4 will feature five live performances in three days at Fuego at the water’s edge.

An oasis among Long Beach’s skyscape and seaside, Hotel Maya will bring the spice and romance to hot summer days and nights with its inaugural Latin American Music Fiesta.  The modern, Latin infused indoor-outdoor restaurant and lounge, Fuego offers a unique seaside setting with stunning open-air views that include the Pacific Ocean, Long Beach skyline and Queen Mary.

The “Latin American Music Fiesta” is complimentary and coincides with Fuego’s brunch, dinner and happy hour service; reservations are encouraged. The sizzling lineup includes:

- Luis Villegas - Grammy nominated acoustic guitarist; Friday, August 2 – 6-9 p.m.

- Francisco Reyes - Live Latin Jazz; Saturday, August 3 – 12-3 p.m.

- Savor - Santana tribute band; Saturday, August 3 – 6-9 p.m.

- SitaraSon - Latin and Cuban dance music; Sunday, August 4 – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- Susie Hansen Latin Band - Fiery Latin Jazz and Salsa; Sunday, August 4 – 5-8 p.m.

“We’re going to turn up the heat a few degrees in Fuego this summer with some sensational Latin American music that will set your soul on fire,” says Jason Cervantes, director of restaurants at Hotel Maya – a Doubletree by Hilton. “And if the music isn’t hot enough, we will be offering some sizzling specials in the restaurant and lounge to quench any desires.”

The “Latin American Music Fiesta” is second of an annual two-part Latin American entertainment series at Hotel Maya. Previously in March, the hotel presented the “Latin American Dance Festival” with free dance lessons in Fuego from world-renowned dance champion and instructor Jackie Rios who has appeared in films such as Shall We Dance with Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez and Mambo Kings with Antonio Banderas.

Famous for its spectacular views and handcrafted margaritas, Fuego also boasts the largest tequila selection in the region. Fuego Sunday Brunch is $55 for adults and $27, sans entree, for children under 12. Kids three and under feast for free.
