PAIRING BOOZY BURGERS & BEERS

Sure, St. Patrick’s Day is behind us but that just means that drinkers who don’t know any better will have to wait another year to suck down on some lame green beer. Those of us that know better know damn well that Jameson Irish Whiskey and Guinness beer are meant to be enjoyed year round. And the folks at Hard Rock Café have combined those two Irish favorites and have created one very tasty burger.

The new Guinness & Jameson Bacon Cheeseburger, featuring a certified Angus Beef patty topped with Jameson Irish Whiskey bacon jam, a Guinness Stout cheese sauce, tomatoes and seasoned arugula, is pretty special on its own but even more so when you pair it with a Guinness stout. Get it while you can because this Irish treat is only available through April 10.

I love the idea of pairing a burger with a beer but it’s even better when you add the killer combo of Jameson whiskey and Guinness stout.  

The burger is actually served alongside Hard Rock’s seasoned fries but I recommend opting for the Guinness cheese sauce and bacon add-on. Why? Because at this point you’re really not concerned with calories and the more cheese and bacon the better.

During our recent lunchtime visit to the Hard Rock Café on Hollywood Boulevard, we absolutely feasted on the killer gourmet burger and beer pairing. It’s a whole meal on its own and there’s no need for filling appetizers nor dessert—unless you can actually still eat afterwards. I’ve had Jameson jam before but the Guinness cheese sauce was a first for me. The burger was a little sweeter than I expected but that’s not a bad thing. I loved the cheesiness and the bacon goodness. The bacon cheeseburger alongside some bacon cheese fries and of course the Guinness stout just made for one helluva lunch.
