GOZEN JAPANESE SAKE BISTRO & LOUNGE
COMING SOON TO WEST HOLLYWOOD
As life is starting to lean back towards normalcy, new possible hotspots are opening around town. A new one that sounds exciting is Gozen Japanese Sake Bistro & Lounge, which will open on March 31 on La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood.
From popular film and commercial director Mr. Hide, Gozen Bistro brings to life a modern Japanese cultural experience. The all-omakase menu offers an alluring mix of Japanese ingredients and French-influenced cooking styles, and sake offerings feature curated, small-batch varieties available exclusively at Gozen Bistro.
The décor mixes past and present, with original 19th Century Japanese ukiyo-e prints lining the walls of the comfy, modern space. The serving dishes are hand-made by some of Japan’s finest master craftsmen, with some items dating back more than two centuries.
Fun fact, “Go” means “five” in Japanese, and Gozen Bistro’s name refers to their concept of the "Five Good Things” that go into the best Japanese cooking: good water, good sake, good meat, good seafood, and good vegetables.
“There is still so much more that I want to teach the world about Japanese craft and culture,” says founder Mr. Hide. “Gozen Bistro is more than just food, it’s about my culture’s love for crafting things of beauty.”
Gozen’s curated kaisekiseasonal tasting menu will include prix fixe courses and brightly tiered to-go bento boxes offering hand-crafted hot and cold selections of fresh sashimi, chirashi-sushi, and unique kaiseki items.
Gozen Bistro will be open for indoor and outdoor patio seating, as well as delivery and takeout Tuesday thru Sunday.
Gozen Bistro, located at 521 N. La Cienega Blvd. in West Hollywood will officially open for business on Wednesday, March 31. Normal business hours: Tuesday thru Sunday from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.
