I’m not always looking for fancy eats when I want a good dinner. I always want to it be delicious but sometimes, especially when I’m making a real night of it or I don’t have all the time in the world, I want good fare quick at a fair price. And at Good Greek Grill, with locations in Hollywood and Los Feliz, quality Mediterranean is quick, easy and fair.

Good Greek Grill co-founder Chris Feradouros says, “We specialize in real, authentic Greek food. From our simple traditional ingredients to our authentic slow roasted pork gyro, we stay true to the food that our Greek families have prepared for generations and serve only the freshest ingredients, from our homemade salad dressing and homemade tzatziki to our fresh produce that's cut daily.”

Unlike other Mediterranean-inspired restaurants, Good Greek Grill highlights traditional Greek fare and modern alternatives, which includes its slow roasted pork gyros, which you don’t find at most places. The Hollywood location has TV’s for sports, outdoor seating and even backgammon games. And popular menu items include traditional gyros with beef, pork, chicken, or grilled vegetables, all charbroiled. Good Greek Grill also offers vegan, vegetarian and gluten free selections.

During our recent visit to the Hollywood location, we feasted on a bevy of items, which included the almighty Zeus Fries—Greek fries topped with tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, your choice of protein, red onion, tomato, parsley and herbs. This is a monster item and is best to share. A heart attack in the making, this is one addictive bad boy worth every bite.

If you want to add a healthy item to your meal, the Greek Salad is a wise choice. Prepared with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, red onion, feta cheese, olives and house dressing it’s tasty and good for you.

For any protein lover who happens to be ravenous, get the Meat Lovers, which is a great way to try all the meats. We’re talking pork, beef lamb, Greek sausage, and chicken. This is a bountiful order filled with savory and sensational meats. With this order, come hungry and leave extremely satisfied.

The gyro is another menu favorite and is great if you’re not looking for a feast or if you’re on the go and you want to keep it simple. Traditional Greek dishes such as Dolmas (grape leaves stuffed with rice, onions and herbs), Saganaki bites (Greek cheese in a fried puff pastry) and Spanakopita bites (spinach and feta cheese in a fried puff pastry) are offered but if you’re feasting on meats and Zeus fries, you may want to save space for Baklava if you want dessert, otherwise I say go with the hearty and satisfying selections.

Good Greek Grill is open daily from 11am to 11pm with late night weekend hours. Good Greek Grill Hollywood is located at 6363 Yucca Street and in Los Feliz at 1820 N. Vermont Avenue.
