FAT SAL’S
FAT BREAKFAST SANDWICH
The creative minds at Fat Sal’s like to say, “We’re making sandwiches over here” but sometimes I have to wonder if their motto should be “we’re clogging arteries over here” or even “we’re making heart attacks over here.”
Fat Sal’s should be the poster child for moderation, not that their specialty sandwiches are in any way moderate, but that you yourself need to exercise moderation otherwise prepare for the ensuing heart attack.
The latest wacky Fat Sal’s creation is the Fat Breakfast Sandwich, which consists of fried eggs, ham, crisp bacon, breakfast sausage, mozzarella sticks, melted American cheese, tater tots, ketchup, and Tapatio on a butter grilled hero. Yup, this tasty monstrosity is breakfast, lunch and dinner all rolled into one. And the funny thing is that Fat Sal’s isn’t even really open for breakfast—they open daily at 11 am. Maybe this should be the Brunch Sandwich.
In all honesty, the Fat Breakfast Sandwich is a little tamer than some of the other crazy concoctions the team has come up with—like the Fat Fughettaboutit Pizza Sandwich, which was a double slice of New York style cheese pizza topped with a cheeseburger patty, chicken fingers, bacon, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and fries all drizzled with ranch dressing.
