DIRTY SUE
BLOODY MARY SPICE MIX

I always say it ain’t brunch unless it’s a boozy brunch, otherwise it’s just a late breakfast or an early weekend lunch.  And a staple of any respectable brunch is a fine Bloody Mary—an absolute classic of a day drink.

And thanks to the fine folks at Dirty Sue, the brainchild of longtime L.A. bartender Eric “ET” Tecosky, comes the Dirty Sue Bloody Mary Spice Mix.

All natural, gluten free, and vegan, the Dirty Sue Bloody Mary Spice Mix is available in a 16 oz bottle of tomato juice-free mix that can yield approximately 21-32 drinks depending on how spicy or flavorful you enjoy your Bloody Mary to be. That’s almost three times more than a traditional 750 ml bottle of tomato juice-based Bloody Mary mix makes.

As the story goes, ET had been working on his Bloody Mary mix for over a decade. The recipe originated during his tenure as Bar Manager of Jones Hollywood in Los Angeles. Soon after launching Dirty Sue Premium Olive Juice, which he formulated specifically for use in dirty martinis, he decided to put some time into another passion—the Bloody Mary.

While on vacation in New Orleans, a home to spectacular Bloody Marys, ET noticed how many bars infused their vodka with pickled goodness - olives, onions, green beans, etc. Back in L.A., ET started to tinker with mixes before perfecting the recipe by using olive juice and not using tomato juice, which would guarantee the product would be less perishable.

The trick when using the Dirty Sue Bloody Mary Mix is to add vodka and tomato juice, then voilà, you will have in your hands a damn tasty Bloody Mary.  Pro tip: add tequila for a Bloody Maria, mezcal for a smoky bloody, or beer (instead of vodka) to make a Michelada.

Garnish as you please with olives or onions or carrots or even bacon, but rest assured that your Bloody Mary cocktail will be rockin’.  You can even use the Dirty Sue Bloody Mary Mix for cooking chili or stew.

The Dirty Sue lineup includes The Original Dirty Sue Olive Juice, perfect for making Dirty Martins, as well as Whiskey Cherries, Feta Kalamatas olives, double stuffed olives, as well as jumbo cocktail onions for game-changing garnishes. And now the Dirty Sue Bloody Mary Spice Mix creates a fab boozy brunch drink—and feel free to garnish with Dirty Sue olives and onions.

While home bartending has really skyrocketed over the past year, now it is easier than ever to craft a killer weekend brunch and serve a standout Bloody Mary. That’s what brunch is all about.
