STK-LA
NOT YOUR DADDY’S STEAKHOUSE

Everyone loves a good, classic steakhouse, it’s where you can enjoy a stiff drink, over indulge in some hearty meat and then dive into a food coma. Well, think again if you’re going to STK. Located on La Cienega Boulevard near West Hollywood, just past Restaurant Row, STK-LA has redefined what a steakhouse is.

With upscale and hipster locations also in downtown New York City as well as Midtown, not to mention vibrant establishments in Miami, Las Vegas and Atlanta, the brand is proud to declare, this isn’t your daddy’s steakhouse, unless your daddy loves partying at da club.

STK-LA offers its guests a fresh, modern alternative to the conventional Los Angeles dining experience. The seasonal, innovative menu, along with a sophisticated, stylish décor and decidedly lively and sultry atmosphere, is more of a scene than your typical restaurant. With clientele including celebrities, entertainment industry moguls, and the foodies of city, STK-LA is great for people-watching and offers a complete experience from tasty cuisine to savory cocktails.

The menu begins with a selection of decadent shellfish and STK's signature skewers to share at the table. Fresh salads, as well as the chef's daily selection of steak, tuna, and salmon tartares and carpaccios also offer a fresh, light start to any meal. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction at STK and the menu features different cuts and sizes of meat, such as small, medium and large, as well naturally raised options. Be forewarned, steaks aren’t cheap here, in fact, they range from $20 to nearly $80 a la carte. Signature entrees and market fish options are also served, along with both traditional and more inventive side dishes.

During our recent visit, we started with the New Crab Salad, which was light and a nice, simple option to start. The Miso Marinated Cod was also a light and healthy option and flavored just right.

If you’re looking for meat options, the Kobe NY, and the Lamb t-Bones are both excellent selections.

Special nights at STK-LA include Flirtatious Thursday, where ladies in groups of four or more can enjoy a complimentary carafe of Skinny Partida Margaritas in the atrium bar or outdoor patio.

And happy hour is a great time to indulge without having to spend too money. Experience STK Lil’ Bar Bites every Sunday thru Tuesday all night long, and Wednesday thru Friday 6-8pm, where you can eat a $10 Shrimp Salad; $15 Lil’ Brgr and Fries, $15 Petite Short Rib; or $15 STK Sandwich made with a 5oz NY steak. Enjoy $8 Specialty Cocktails, including the Lychee Martini, Pimm’s Cup, Mule 42, and Black Cloud Mojito, as well as $5 beers and wines.

STK-LA is located at 755 N. La Cienega. Hours: Sunday and Monday 6-11pm; Tuesday thru Thursday 6-11:30pm; Friday and Saturday 6 pm-12:30 am. Call 310-659-3535. Parking: metered on street and valet parking available.
