DELFINI CITTA
ITALIAN JEWEL IN BEVERLY HILLS

From the fine folks at Caffe' Delfini, a West Side favorite for over 20 years in the Santa Monica Canyon, their new Beverly Hills restaurant Delfini Cittá is building a reputation for fine Italian dining set witin an impressive yet welcoming bar scene and the go-to place for first class pizzeria.

Located at the former site of Porterhouse Bistro, a long time personal favorite for a quality steak, the new Delfini Cittá really improves on the space. Most notable is the expanded bar, which now offers a vibrant bar scene that was sorely lacking before. Colorful and playful in décor, the bar area creates a fun atmosphere that even Mad Men’s Don Draper would appreciate.

The swank bar is perfect to drink and enjoy tasty small bites, or savor authentic, Italian-inspired pizzas in a very casual setting, while their fine dining room is an ideal place where guests can relish their favorite Italian dishes.

During our visit, we opted to sit in the elegant dining room and started with a hearty Caesar salad, followed by the inventive and wonderful Zinguine, which is a light pasta dish made out of zucchini. This is the perfect plate to satisfy your pasta craving without all the excess carbs. With a zesty sauce and vegetables thrown in for good measure, this was an instant favorite.

Taking advantage of the pizza kitchen, we went with the highly recommended Speck & Potatoes Pizza. This pie, made with fresh rosemary potatoes, is hearty and delicious. Paired with a nice glass of wine, this is all you need for a wonderful evening.

But we didn’t stop there, because the final touch of the evening, courtesy of the kitchen and not of our own choosing, was the pièce de résistance, a completely out of this world Nutella Pizza. What a treat! The combination of the light and fluffy dough with the sweet taste of the hazelnut spread was phenomenal. Definitely make sure to save room for this decadent treat during your visit. It’s a must-have. Boy, was I glad I had the Zinguine earlier in the evening.
