THE BEST FISH TACO IN ENSENADA
UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS L.A.

I’ve heard a lot about the fish tacos at The Best Fish Taco In Ensenada so I had to find out for myself if they’re the best fish tacos in town. They’re not, but they are awfully good, and cheap!

An unassuming fish shack on Hillhurst Ave, they only serve two items, a $1.50 fish taco and a $2 shrimp taco, in addition to sodas, water and agua fresca such as your standard horchata drinks. Beers would help but they don’t mind if you bring your own. Open now for two years, it is a local staple.

Be careful of the salsas listed as spicy as they ain’t lying. You get to choose your toppings from a radish slaw, regular cabbage, as well as a spicy avocado salsa, and a sour cream sauce. Both taco items are served fried, albeit with a very light breading, although I’d rather just have my fish cocked than fried. And they do come out hot as they’re prepared one at a time so you don’t end up with a cold taco, which is a nice touch.

Not quite as good as you’ll get on the beaches of Ensenada. I guess I’ll just keep looking for the best fish taco in town. We're looking to crown the real Fish Taco King of LA so please email us your favorite Fish Taco spot in town.
