THE VEGGIE GRILL
HOME OF HEALTHY & TASTY ORIGINAL SANDWICHES AND BURGERS

If you’re looking for a healthy bite that tastes good without the guilt that often comes with eating out, then head over to The Veggie Grill for pleasing fare that’s good for you. With locations in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, El Segundo, and Irvine, there’s no excuse not to eat right.

The Veggie Grill prides itself in serving delicious and wholesome food, and by wholesome they mean good calories and good fats that are 100% plant-based. Feel free to indulge and eat a hearty meal and know that you won’t feel bloated or tired afterwards.

I recommend the All Hail Kale Salad made with marinated kale and red cabbage, roasted corn salsa, and agave-roasted walnuts with ginger-papaya vinaigrette. The walnuts add a very sweet and refined touch. This is a good started item to share.

Looking for something heartier, the VG-Cheeseburger with marinated and grilled veggie-steak burger, pickles, lettuce, tomato, red onion, chipotle ranch topped with VG-Cheese is a must have. And go for the added avocado for an extra $1.50. This is filling and satisfying.

Another favorite is the Santa Fe Crispy Chickin’ with crispy fried chillin’ chickin’, lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, and southwestern spiced vegan mayo. This one packs a slight kick with it. Our staff argued that they were eating real chicken when in fact they were eating soy-based chicken. It was that good that they couldn’t tell the difference.

But be forewarned, while the burger was very tasty, you can definitely tell it’s not real beef, which you can’t do with the chicken. Definitely go with an order of the Sweetheart Fries seasoned with chipotle ranch. Made with canola oil, this order is free of trans fat and rich in polyunsaturated good fats.

I can also wholeheartedly recommend the Lentil soup, offered Thursdays at the West Hollywood location, it’s spiced to perfection and almost tastes like chili. This is mouthwatering good stuff.

And if you’re looking to indulge, opt for the delicious Carrot Cake or the oversized Chocolate Chip Cookie made free of trans fat, cholesterol, eggs and dairy. In fact, applesauce, tofu and evaporated cane juice are some of the natural sources Veggie Grill uses to create indulgent desserts that you can feel less guilty about eating.

The Veggie Grill offers a chill atmosphere or is perfect for the on-the-go eater looking for healthy eats that you can take home or back to the office.
