IMMERSIVE DRIVE-IN MOVIE EXPERIENCE HITS L.A.

Drive-in movie theaters made a splashy comeback during COVID quarantine and Cinemauto aims to take the experience up a notch.

Cinemauto is a first of its kind, immersive drive-in movie experience coming to Chinatown in Los Angeles. The thoughtful event series brings together community, art, culture, fashion, food and entertainment while supporting local businesses, artists, and non-profit organizations.

Cinemauto will surface marginalized community stories through art, while reintroducing an old friend, the drive-in movie, in a modern, culturally-relevant way via a curated market, neighborhood restaurants, digital exhibitions, and additional entertainment as a way to connect, inspire and nurture the community and give a much-needed sense of togetherness.

Through city and county guidelines, Cinemauto will ensure a COVID-19 safety compliant experience, which includes official COVID-19 ambassadors and a COVID-19 trained production team. Cinemauto will also have a unique hand-washing experience to create a sense of calmness with vetiver in the air.

Proceeds from ticket and merch sales will benefit LALIFF, Homeboy Industries, Junior High, Las Fotos Project, Food Forward and #XMAP: In Plain Sight.

To help energize Chinatown and support its local restaurants, all tickets include entry, dinner and a movie. With the purchase of a ticket, guests can select from one of our curated “takeout” meal boxes, with vegan options, prepared by our local restaurant partners that will be tailored for safe and easy consumption in your vehicle and delivered via carhop service.

o   Includes entry, dinner and movie for two people, curated goodies and snacks from the Community Market, premiere “seating”/parking, early entry and exit and a dedicated server
·       Add on Single (1 ticket) - $60
o   Tagging along with friends? Purchase an add-on ticket and join a car with Double GA or Double VIP

Cinemauto will take place on September 18 & 19; October 16 & 17; November 13 & 14; and December 11 & 12 at 713 N. Hill Street always from 6-9pm. Tickets are available for purchase at www.cinemauto.net.
