FRIDAY NIGHT WINE TASTINGS
RETURN TO BARNSDALL PARK
With summertime approaching, there’s no better time to relax than by enjoying a glass a wine in the glorious outdoors at Barnsdall Park’s 10th Annual Friday Night Wine Tastings being held May 25 through August 31 every Friday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Celebrating its decade-long famed wine tasting fundraiser, Opening Night will be held in conjunction with LA Times Food Bowl featuring a special Q&A with famed American food critic Jonathan Gold and James Beard winner, Chef Daniel Humm, co-owner of Make It Nice, a hospitality group that currently includes the newly opened NoMad Los Angeles and Made Nice in New York City. The NoMad Truck will be on-site for the event with other chefs to be announced shortly. Opening night tickets start at $45 with the remaining wine tasting events priced at $35.
Marking its tenth season and attracting sellout crowds, the Barnsdall Friday Night Wine Tastings have become the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation’s signature fundraising event. With stunning views overlooking the city, four-acre Barnsdall Art Park in the heart of Hollywood welcomes guests 21 years and older to sip wine, picnic and watch the sunset for another not-to-be-missed season of wine tasting at this iconic cultural destination, which features Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House, a world-class art gallery, art center and theatre on its campus.
Ongoing partner Silverlake Wine will curate their fine selection of boutique artisanal wines and there will be rotating food trucks each week. Music will be presented by KCRW’s DJs and this year’s series will also feature several globally-themed evenings, matching food and wine. As part of the series for an additional $15, guests can also tour UNESCO-nominated Hollyhock House (at 5:45, 6:15, 6:45 & 7.15pm every Friday).
The Friday Night Wine Tastings will take place at Barnsdall Park, located at 4800 Hollywood Blvd.
