ALOHA POKE CO.
CHICAGO POKE PIONEER HITS L.A.

Not every meal needs to be a gourmet feast. Yes, that’s really true. Sometimes we want quick and easy, but always first rate. And since I’m often craving poke, I was psyched to discover Aloha Pok? Co.

A Chicago’s pok? pioneer, Aloha Pok? Co. started as a tiny food stall in a train station before taking off in the Windy City proving that ‘BIG things come in little packages’.

At Aloha Pok? Co., the intention is simple: pack fresh, fast and tasty bowls of quality raw ingredients. The mission was to rethink fast food and provide a healthy meal that fuels the day. Now SoCal locations include Century City and Marina Del Rey.

Choose from house bowls like the Aloha, Crunch or Volcano or you can build your own bowl ranging from 8oz, 16oz or 24oz. Choose your base (mixed greens or white or brown rice), pick your protein (ahi tuna, salmon or tofu, either marinated (sesame + shoyu) or naked (simple and clean), add your toppings, including cucumber, edamame, pineapple, scallions, avocado, and top it off with the sauce of your choice.

I thought it would be all about the poke bowls but the tuna tostada and rice balls are not to be dismissed. I loved the rice ball, which is packed tight with shrimp or veggie crunch. It’s absolutely delicious and a bargain at only $3.75. The tuna tostada with tuna toro and avocado piled high on a tostada with sesame vinaigrette is fresh, clean and flavorful.

But the pok? bowls are the stars at Aloha Pok? Co. The Aloha bowl with pineapple, cucumber, scallions, jalapeño, Maui onion and sesame vinaigrette is a great option. As is the Volcano with seaweed, edamame, jalapeño, ginger, tobiko and volcano sauce. But I really liked building my own poke bowl. It’s fun to mix and match and get creative with wonderfully savory and satisfying flavors.

The Century City Aloha Pok? Co. is located at the mall, next door to hotspot Eataly L.A. This is the perfect place if you’re on the go at the mall. Dine healthy and satisfying before or after a movie or in between shopping. If you want something clean, fresh and simple, this hits the spot.

Aloha Pok? Co. is located at the Century City Mall or at 4020 Lincoln Blvd in the marina.
